Health and Wellbeing Practitioners x 3

Salary: £27,257 pa (pro rata for part time staff)

Terms: Permanent

Hours: One full time post (37 hours pw) and two half time posts (18.5)

Location: Sheffield City Centre

About the role

As a Health & Wellbeing Practitioner within our Door 43 service, you will work with young people aged 13-25 to provide early help to improve wellbeing and prevent the effects of life experiences from escalating to more serious mental health problems. You’ll be part of a team giving support to young people through developing brief interventions, activities, both one-to-one sessions and group work.

We are a client led service and tailor our support as best as possible to meet the individual needs of our service users.

About you

You will bring understanding of how best to engage and support young people who may be experiencing a range of barriers and challenges to their wellbeing. With both the ability to provide practical support and therapeutic skills you’ll be able to deliver solution focused motivational interviewing and/or cognitive behavioural informed interventions to effectively support and empower young people towards independence and improved wellbeing.

Along with substantial experience of working with young people to improve their wellbeing, you will have strong communication and relationship building skills and excellent understanding of safeguarding children and young adults

This role requires an enhanced DBS check.
